Operations Manager Resume Example

An operations manager resume that shows scale at a glance - sites, volumes and teams - followed by the service, cost and growth results you delivered.

Lead with scale, then results

Operations roles are defined by size, so give it up front: how many sites, how many people, what volume and what budget. A reader should know within seconds whether you've run operations at the scale they need.

Then show the results that mattered to the business - service levels, productivity, cost and safety. Put money in rupees where you can; 'saved ₹6.2 crore a year' is easier to grasp than a percentage alone.

Show you can build, not just run

Senior operations hiring often looks for people who can launch and scale: new cities, new warehouses, new services. Include at least one launch or turnaround, with how quickly it went live and how it performed.

Mention the systems you introduced or improved too, such as a WMS rollout, a new shift planning model or a KPI dashboard the leadership team now uses every week.

Frequently asked questions

Should an operations manager's resume be two pages?

With more than 10 years of experience, two pages is fine. Keep the most detail for your last two roles and summarise earlier jobs in a line or two.

What keywords should an operations resume include?

Use the terms from the job posting - supply chain, logistics, SLA, P&L, process improvement, vendor management, lean or Six Sigma - wherever they truthfully describe your work.
